According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert M. Maciol, at approximately 5:52 pm on August 10, 2024, Deputies responded to Westmoreland Town Park on Stop 7 Road in the Town of Westmoreland for a reported motor vehicle accident. It was determined Alexander Martinelli, 18, of Clinton, was operating a 2012 white Chevrolet in the parking lot of the Town park when it collided with the bathroom building that was unoccupied. Alexander was transported to Wynn Hospital for non life threatening injuries, no other injuries occurred. Deputies were assisted on scene by members of Westmoreland Fire Department, Westmoreland Highway Department, and COCVAC. This accident is still under investigation.
