According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol; a man was arrested after an investigation into a domestic incident that occurred in the Town of Marcy.

On December 13, 2024, Road Patrol Deputies were called for a reported domestic in progress in the parking lot of the DPW in the Town of Marcy. It was reported that a male was being physical with a female and then forced her into a vehicle and left the area. A short time later, the male and female were located and an investigation was completed.

Upon completion of the investigation, Robert J. Whiting II, 26, was arrested and charged with criminal contempt in the 1st degree, a class E felony, and harassment 2nd, a violation.

Whiting was transported to the Kurt B. Wyman Law Enforcement Building for processing.

Whiting was held at the Oneida County Correctional Facility for arraignment.
