According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol; a man was arrested after an investigation into a domestic incident that occurred in the Town of Sangerfield.

On December 15, 2024, Road Patrol Deputies were called for a reported abandoned call/possible domestic in progress in the Town of Sangerfield. Upon arrival, Deputies spoke with the victim, who is also a protected party on an order of protection, who reported that there was a physical altercation and she had been shoved to the ground.

Upon completion of the investigation, Austin W. Perks,27, was arrested and charged with criminal contempt in the 1st degree, a class E felony, aggravated family offense, a class E felony, and harassment 2nd, a violation.

Perks was transported to the Kurt B. Wyman Law Enforcement Building for processing.

Perks was held at the Oneida County Correctional Facility for arraignment.
