According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol; at around 11:04 am on December 20, 2024, there was a one car personal injury motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Walker Road and Cosby Manor Road in the Town of Deerfield.

KELSEY S HAMACHER (31) of Deerfield, NY was operating her black 2013 Dodge in a westerly direction on Cosby Manor Road. It was determined that Hamacher's speed under the hazardous conditions caused her vehicle to lose control crossing the intersection of Walker Road and Cosby Manor Road and sticking a utility pole. Hamacher was transported to Wynn Hospital by Kunkel Ambulance, where she was treated for neck and back injuries. Hamacher was issued a citation returnable to Deerfield Town Court at a later date.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by members of the Deerfield Fire Department, Kunkel Ambulance, and New York State Police.
