According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, On February 25, 2025, at 3:09 P.M., A Deputy from the Waterville Field Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the Village of Waterville.

Subsequent to the investigation of the traffic stop and nearby citizens, a cell phone was located on a sidewalk that was thrown from the vehicle. The cell phone was later reported stolen by a victim out of the Town of Sangerfield.

Anthony Case (31) of Utica was arrested and subsequently a quantity of cocaine was located.

Anthony was transported to the Kurt B. Wyman Law Enforcement Building and charged with:

Criminal Tampering 3rd

Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th

Petit Larceny

Anthony was issued appearance tickets and several UTT's for the Town of Sangerfield and the Village of Waterville at a later date.
