According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert M. Maciol, a Juvenile has been charged after an investigation of a threat at the Waterville Junior/Senior High School. This morning, Waterville Junior/Senior High School Administration was informed of a threat that named other Junior/Senior High School students and contacted the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office. Members of the OCSO Juvenile Aid Unit and Threat Assessment Team responded to the school and conducted a threat assessment of the Juvenile who was then released to a parent. Pursuant to the investigation, the Juvenile was cited for Aggravated threat of mass harm, a class A misdemeanor, and was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Oneida County Juvenile Probation on an upcoming date. Parents/Guardians of the named students were contacted by OCSO. The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to ensuring the safety of our schools and communities.
