According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert M Maciol, on April 23rd, 2025, a Yorkville man was arrested for possessing prison contraband while confined in the Oneida County Correctional Facility.

On April 19th, 2025, the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol Division responded to the Oneida County Correctional Facility located in the Town of Whitestown regarding a prison contraband complaint.

Upon the Deputies arrival, they learned that an inmate within the facility was in possession of dangerous contraband that being a sharp metal object wrapped in a white fabric material. Due to the nature of the complaint, the investigation was then turned over to members of the Criminal Investigative Unit. As a result, Triston Deeb (21) was subsequently arrested and charged with one count of Promoting Prison Contraband in the 1st Degree, a class D Felony. Deeb remains in the Oneida County Correctional Facility, awaiting Centralized Arraignment.
