Earlier today, the Oneida County Sheriff's Office participated in a Mock DWI Crash at the Oriskany Central School District.

High School students had the opportunity to see the real dangers of impaired, and distracted driving.

To drive home the severity of the consequences of DWI, the exercise included a “fatality” and “serious injuries” to the passengers.

Thank you to the student actors, Village of Oriskany Police Department, Oriskany Fire Department, Central Oneida County Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Mercy Flight Central - Rome NY, Oneida County Emergency Services / Stop DWI, and the Oriskany teachers and staff that made this event possible!
