According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert M. Maciol, on July 24th, 2025, Deputies assigned to the Boonville Fair Detail responded to the area of Summit St and Schuyler St in the Village of Boonville for a motor vehicle personal injury accident. The accident involved an automobile and a motorcycle.

Subsequent to an investigation, Deputies determined that Hunter Pisaneschi of Rome was operating westbound on Schuyler St when he came to a stop sign at the intersection of Schuyler St and Summit St. Pisaneschi then proceeded through the intersection, failing to yield the right of way to perpendicular traffic, which did not have a stop sign. Due to this, Terry Pfendler of Boonville, who was operating a motorcycle southbound on Summit St, collided with the former vehicle in the intersection. Pfendler was ejected from the motorcycle and sustained injuries. Both drivers were treated and evaluated on scene by Boonville Amulance for non-life-threatening injuries. Pisaneshi was issued a universal traffic ticket returnable to Boonville Town Court at a later date.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by the Boonville Ambulance, Boonville Fire Department, and Elis Auto and Towing.
