According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol a Utica…
According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol a Utica man has been arrested following a complaint stemming from an incident at the Oneida County Correctional Facility. On August 13, 2025, A report was taken by Road Patrol Deputies regarding Daniel Johnson, of Utica, who subjected a Correctional Officer at the Oneida County Correctional Facility to come into contact with fecal matter. It's alleged that Johnson put feces in a plastic coffee bag, which was obtained through commissary, and then stomped on the bag causing the feces to shoot out from under his cell door and strike the Corrections Officer in the legs and abdomen area. The case was then turned over to the Criminal Investigation Unit. On August 27, 2025, Johnson was arrested on the charge of Aggravated Harassment of an Employee by an Inmate, a class E Felony. Johnson was processed at the Sheriffs Office Law Enforcement Building and will be arraigned in CAP Court.
