According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a…
According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a Sangerfield man was arrested following a failure to comply in the Town of Sangerfield. On 09/12/25 at around 11:25 AM, a Patrol Deputy observed a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze operated by Aaron Wright (44) who is of revoked driver status. The Chevy Cruze was also observed with a fictitious inspection sticker Southerly on Route 12 in the Town of Sangerfield. The Deputy activated his emergency lights in an effort to conduct a traffic stop. The vehicle fled on Craigfoot Road at a high rate of speed and the Deputy terminated the stop. A short time later, the Deputy located the same vehicle in the rear of an address on Tubbs Road in Sangerfield, unoccupied. Wright was inside of the residence at that location. Wright complied with commands and surrendered without incident. Wright was arrested, transported to the Waterville Field Office and charged with the following:-Unlawful fleeing a police officer 3rd degree (A Misdemeanor)-Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd and 2nd Degree -Displaying a forged inspection sticker-Uninspected vehicle -Speed over 55
Wright was issued an appearance ticket and traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Sangerfield Court. Deputies were assisted on scene by the New York State Police.
