According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol, on September 28th, 2025, at approximately 7:09 P.M. Deputies responded to a personal injury motorcycle accident that occurred on Huth Sayer, in the Town of Augusta. Deputies determined that Richard Buryta, age 54, from Verona, was traveling north on Huth Sayer Rd on a 2013 Victory motorcycle when he had left the eastern side of the roadway due to failing to negotiate a curve. Oriskany Falls Fire Department, Central Oneida County Volunteer Ambulance Corps, and Mercy Flight responded to the scene and Buryta was transported to SUNY Upstate Hospital for his injuries.

Clinton Collision assisted with the tow. The accident remains under investigation.
