According to Oneida County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Derrick O'Meara, who is the Director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, a Town of New Hartford man was arrested by members of the Child Advocacy Center on October 9, 2025. In September of 2025, the Oneida County Sheriff's Office Patrol Division received a report alleging that an adult male had been acting inappropriately with a female child. This case was turned over to the Child Advocacy Center for further investigation and was assigned to OCSO Sergeant Melissa Bolton. Through investigation, it was learned that Chad Biamonte, age 40, had been engaging in an ongoing, sexually explicit conversation, through both text message and social media, with a female child less than seventeen years of age. Biamonte was located at his residence by Sgt. Bolton and OCSO Inv. Leonard Dillenbeck and arrested. Biamonte was charged with one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class A Misdemeanor. He was processed at the Kurt B. Wyman Law Enforcement Building and turned over to corrections staff at the Oneida County Correctional Facility, pending arraignment at CAP Court. An order of protection has been requested for the victim who has been offered services through the Child Advocacy Center.
