Public Advisory: Scam Alert Regarding Solicitation Calls

Recently, several community members have reported receiving phone calls from individuals soliciting monetary donations on behalf of the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, the Patrol Union (PBA), or the Corrections Union (DSBA).

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office and all related organizations are not seeking donations or monetary support at this time. These calls are fraudulent. We urge the public not to share any personal or banking information, or to provide money in response to such requests. If you receive a call of this nature, please hang up immediately.

There is no need to file a report about these calls unless you believe you have been a victim of this scam.
