According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on November 28th, 2025, at around 8:40 a.m., Road Patrol Deputies responded to the intersection of State Route 8 and Oneida St. in the Town of Paris for a reported single-car motor vehicle accident with injuries. Patrol Deputies determined after investigation that Robert Frey (26) of Harpursville NY, was operating a 2005 Toyota Rav-4 in a northerly direction on State Route 8 when due to slippery road conditions he collided with a guardrail on the eastern shoulder. Edwards Towing towed the vehicle from the scene. Frey was transported to Wynn Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries received from the accident. Frey was issued tickets returnable to Paris Town Court for a later date. Patrol Deputies were assisted on the scene by the Edwards Towing, Clayville Fire Department, and COCVAC Ambulance.
