According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a Rome man was arrested for Felony DWI following a Motor Vehicle Accident investigation in the Town of Verona.

On January 23rd, 2026 at approximately 1:21 am there was a report of a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Spring Road in the Town of Verona. Following an investigation into this accident the operator was arrested for driving while intoxicated by a Deputy assigned to the STOP DWI unit. The operator of the vehicle, Edward R. Bielby III, 27, was charged with:
