UPDATED PRESS RELEASE:

The deceased individual that was located inside the residence has been identified as Dennis Antl, age 81. At this time, the investigation is still on going in an attempt to determine the cause and origin, more information may be released at a later time.

INITIAL PRESS RELEASE

According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert M. Maciol, at approximately 10:07 PM on 2/8/26, Sheriff’s Office personnel were dispatched to 111 Deer Run Road in the Town of Forestport for reports of a structure fire. Upon arrival, Deputies located the residence fully involved with reports of an individual still inside. After the fire was extinguished, an individual was located deceased inside the residence. At this time, the name of the deceased individual will be withheld pending a positive identification by the Onondaga County Medical Examiner's Office and next of kin notification. At this time, the investigation is still ongoing, and additional information will be released at a later time.
