Congratulations to Correction Officer Sherri Hilts on her…

Congratulations to Correction Officer Sherri Hilts on her retirement from the Sheriff’s Office after 21 years of service. Officer Hilts was very well respected by her fellow officers and she was a mentor to many. During her career, she received several letters of commendation including the Good Conduct Award three times.

Most recently, Officer Hilts has been dealing with some health issues and as part of one of the “No Shave” events at the Sheriff’s Office, nearly $7,000 was raised and presented to her yesterday on behalf of the participating members to help her to deal with some of her medical related expenses.

We thank Sherri for her service and wish her well in her retirement and most importantly, we wish her a speedy recovery.
