According to the Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a…
According to the Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a Town of Ava man was injured in a one car motor vehicle accident in the Town of Boonville. On March 31st, 2026, at around 7:45 pm, Road Patrol Deputies were dispatched to a cell phone crash notification on Jackson Hill Rd in the Town of Boonville. Subsequent to an investigation, Deputies found that Michael Crofoot, age 22 of Ava, was operating a 2009 Chevrolet Pickup Truck before exiting the roadway and colliding with a tree. Crofoot was transported to the WYNN Hospital by Boonville Ambulance to be treated for non life threatening injuries. A Deputy from the STOP DWI Unit responded to assist with the investigation, and the investigation is still ongoing at this time. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the New York State Police, the Boonville Fire Department, and Boonville Ambulance.
