According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert M. Maciol, at approximately 1:42 AM on April 11, 2026, Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to an address in the Town of Kirkland for reports of a threat at the Clinton Middle School. Deputies began the investigation and due to the nature of the complaint, the Sheriff’s Office Juvenile Aid Unit along with the Criminal Investigation Unit were assigned. At this point in the investigation, there is no ongoing threat to the public or students at the Clinton Central School District. The investigation remains open and an update will be provided at a later time.
