Sheriff Maciol was honored to spend Sunday afternoon with several Special Olympic athletes that were participating in the “Mohawk Valley King Pin Stars” Bowling Tournament. The most exciting part of the event was taking part in the awards ceremony and seeing the smiles on their faces when we presented them with their winning ribbons. Over the years, we’ve watched these athletes grow along with becoming close friends with so many of them as they constantly display immense joy, celebrating the "thrill of victory" and demonstrating wonderful sportsmanship, while prioritizing friendship & fun over winning.
