According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, Patrol Deputies reported to a scene of a suspicious device on Utica St in the Village of Clinton.

After Deputies arrived on scene, they located what appeared to be an older Rocket Propelled Grenade. Out of an abundance of caution, Deputies secured the immediate area and contacted the State Police Bomb Disposal Unit. They responded to the scene and determined the round was a training round and not a live round. The device has since been removed by the State Police Bomb Disposal Unit

Deputies have since cleared the scene.

There is no danger to public.
