According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a Trenton man was arrested following a domestic dispute that occurred in the Town of Trenton.On July 15th, 2026, Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the Town of Trenton for a domestic incident. Through the Deputies investigation, an illegal firearm was located. Deputies learned the firearm was not used or threatened during the course of the domestic incident. Due to the nature of the investigation, members of the Oneida County Criminal Investigations Unit (CIU) became involved.Subsequent to the investigation 50-year-old Henry Poczatek was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon, and the firearm was secured by members of the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office.Poczatek was processed at the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Building (LEB) and was then escorted to the Oneida County Correctional Facility to await arraignment. Poczatek is currently being held within the Oneida County Correctional Facility.
