According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert M.
According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert M. Maciol, a Whitesboro man has been arrested as a result of a motor vehicle accident and Driving While Intoxicated investigation on August 18th, 2026.
At approximately 4:50pm, Road Patrol Deputies assigned to the Waterville Field Office responded to the area of Stone Rd in the Town of Westmoreland for a reported motor vehicle accident, with the operator reportedly leaving the scene of the accident after being picked up by another vehicle. In coordination with the Whitestown Police Department, the operator was located at the Circle K Gas Station on West Main Street in the Town of Westmoreland.
Subsequent to a DWI investigation, the subject, Kyle J. Phillips (35) of Whitesboro, NY, was taken into custody and transported to the Oneida County Kurt B. Wyman Law Enforcement Building, where he was booked and processed on the following charges:
-(1) Count of NYS VTL 1192(3) Driving While Intoxicated - a Misdemeanor-(1) Count of PL 240.26(1) Harassment in the Second Degree - a Violation-Multiple other Vehicle and Traffic Law Violations
After being processed, Phillips was brought before centralized arraignment at the Oneida County Jail and released on his own recognizance.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be filed by the Oneida County Sheriff's Office.
