According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, the Sheriff's Office is currently investigating a two car motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian, that occurred on State Route 13, in the Town of Camden.

On 08/25/2026, at approximately 6:50pm, Deputies were dispatched to a Motor Vehicle Accident involving personal injury. Upon arrival, Deputies determined that the pedestrian was struck by one of the vehicles involved and pronounced deceased on scene by medical staff. Members of the Criminal Investigations Unit, along with members of the Forensic Identification Unit responded to the scene to assist. The accident is currently being reconstructed. State Route 13 between Trestle Rd and Hillsboro Rd, in the Town of Camden has been reopened to the public as of 1140PM. More information will be released at a later time.
