According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, four people were injured following a two car personal injury motor vehicle accident on Rome Taberg Rd in the City of Rome.
On August 26th, 2026, at around 6:21p.m., Road Patrol Deputies responded to a two car personal injury motor vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of Success Drive and Rome Taberg Road in the City of Rome.
Subsequent to an investigation, Deputies determined that Ashley E. Fox (32) of Rome, was operating a 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander, and attempting to cross Rome Taberg Rd from Success Drive. Filippo A. Logiudice (73) of West Leyden, operating a 2023 Ford Bronco, was traveling west on Rome Taberg Rd. Logiudice's vehicle collided with the passenger side of Fox's vehicle, where Fox and her two juvenile passengers were transported by AmCare to the WYNN hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Filippo was transported by AmCare to Rome Health for non-life-threatening injuries. Fox's failure to yield the right of way appears to be the cause of the collision.
The Oneida County Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by the New York State Police, Rome Fire Department, and AmCare Ambulance.
