According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, members…
According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, members of the Criminal Investigation Unit determined that a blue 2014 Ford Focus, being operated by Rohnan Story, age 20, from Watertown, NY, was traveling north on State Route 13 in the Town of Vienna.
While traveling north, Story began to slow his vehicle down to allow a pedestrian to cross the road. As Story was slowing his vehicle down, he was struck from behind by a 2019 Jeep Cherokee, being operated by Hunter Ocmand, age 25, from Williamstown, NY.
After Story’s vehicle was struck, the force caused his vehicle to spin into the shoulder of the roadway striking the pedestrian. The pedestrian, Daniele Muratore, age 51, from the City of Rome, was located deceased on scene due to his injuries. At this time, the investigation is ongoing and additional information may be released later. The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Camden Police Department, New York State Police, Camden Volunteer Fire Department and Amcare Ambulance service.

According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, the Sheriff's Office is currently investigating a two car motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian, that occurred on State Route 13, in the Town of Camden.
On 08/25/2026, at approximately 6:50pm, Deputies were dispatched to a Motor Vehicle Accident involving personal injury. Upon arrival, Deputies determined that the pedestrian was struck by one of the vehicles involved and pronounced deceased on scene by medical staff. Members of the Criminal Investigations Unit, along with members of the Forensic Identification Unit responded to the scene to assist. The accident is currently being reconstructed. State Route 13 between Trestle Rd and Hillsboro Rd, in the Town of Camden will remain closed to the public at this time. More information will be released at a later time.
