According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol, a man…
According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol, a man from the Town of Westmoreland was arrested following an investigation into a grand larceny complaint.
On September 5th, 2026, Deputies were dispatched to an address in the Town of Vernon for a larceny complaint. Through the Deputies investigation they learned the victim had paid an individual, back on June 15th, 2026, $2,500.00 in cash to purchase items so that he could fix a Chevrolet 3500 pickup truck. It was further learned no work had been completed, and the vehicle owner was out $2,500.00.
Due to the nature of the incident, the investigation was turned over to members of the Oneida County Criminal Investigations Unit (CIU). Investigators located the paid individual, 59-year-old John Feketa, and charged him with one count of Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, a Class E Felony, pursuant to section 155.30(1) of the New York State Penal Law. Feketa was then escorted to the Oneida County Correctional Facility to await CAP Court.
