According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert M. Maciol, on the 14th of September 2026, the Oneida County Sheriff's Office was contacted by the VVS School District regarding some concerning statements made by a student at the E. A. McCallister Elementary School. The Oneida County Sheriff's Office conducted an investigation with the assistance of the School District into the statements and found that the statements made were not credible. The Oneida County Sheriff's Office is appreciative of the relationships with the school districts within the community and is dedicated to ensuring the safety of the students, staff, and the community members.
