According to the Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol, on Monday, October 26, 2026, at approximately 12:25pm, Deputies responded to a reported personal-injury motor vehicle accident that occurred on State Route 12B in the Town of Marshall.

Upon arrival, it was discovered by Deputies that Michael Archer Jr, 45, of Rome, NY was operating a 2025 Western Star dump truck northbound on State Route 12B when he swerved to avoid colliding with deer in the roadway, causing the dump truck to overturn and land on its side in a ditch on the Western shoulder of State Route 12B. Michael sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash and was cleared by EMS on scene. Deputies were assisted on scene by Central Oneida County Volunteer Ambulance, Oriskany Falls Fire Department, and Hale's Towing.
