UPDATE:

According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, Sheriff's Deputies and Investigators were called to a serious personal injury motor vehicle accident on State Route 20 in the Town of Sangerfield, involving a car and a motorcycle.

The accident occurred at 1:10 PM on November 4, 2026. State Route 20 was closed for a period of time while Sheriff's Investigators and Sheriff's Forensic Unit reconstructed the accident and conducted their investigation. The highway has since been reopened.

The driver of the vehicle was evaluated on scene and denied further medical treatment. The motorcyclist was airlifted to SUNY Upstate with serious injuries.
