“THREE INMATES FOUND IN POSSESSION OF DANGEROUS PRISON…
“THREE INMATES FOUND IN POSSESSION OF DANGEROUS PRISON CONTRABAND”
According to Robert M. Maciol, Sheriff of Oneida County, three inmates were found to be in possession of dangerous prison contraband while confined in the Oneida County Jail.
On October 12th, 2024, Deputies assigned to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Division responded to the Oneida County Jail located at 6075 Judd Road, Oriskany N.Y regarding a,” Prison Contraband” complaint. During the initial Investigation, it was determined that while Correctional Officers assigned to the Oneida County Jail were conducting a cell search of inmate, Angel Sanaguary-Cajilema, age 26, originally from Ecuador Officers located a,” toothbrush” that was filed down on both ends commonly known as a “shank”. Following the initial Investigation, the case was turned over to the Criminal Investigation Unit for review. After a review by the Criminal Investigation Unit, charges were filed against Sanaguary-Cajilema and an arrest warrant was requested through the Town of Whitestown Court. Following the issuance of the arrest warrant, Investigators from the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Unit subsequently executed the arrest warrant subsequently charging Sanaguary-Cajilema with:
(1) Count of Promoting Prison Contraband in the First Degree a Class D Felony.
On October 25th, 2024, Deputies assigned to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Division responded to the Oneida County Jail located at 6075 Judd Road, Oriskany N.Y regarding a,” Prison Contraband” complaint. During the initial Investigation, it was determined when a Correctional Officer assigned to the Oneida County Jail entered the cell of inmate, Sa Ah, age 22, from Utica N.Y, the Officer located a “toothbrush” that had one end sharpened to a point commonly known as a “shank”. Following the initial Investigation, the case was turned over to the Criminal Investigation Unit for review. After a review by the Criminal Investigation Unit, charges were filed against Ah and an arrest warrant was requested through the Town of Whitestown Court. Following the issuance of the arrest warrant, Investigators from the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Unit subsequently executed the arrest warrant subsequently charging Ah with:
(1) Count of Promoting Prison Contraband in the First Degree a Class D Felony.
On October 30th, 2024, Deputies assigned to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Division responded to the Oneida County Jail located at 6075 Judd Road, Oriskany N.Y regarding a,” Prison Contraband” complaint. During the initial Investigation, it was determined that while Correctional Officers assigned to the Oneida County Jail were conducting a cell search of inmate, Jamare L. Blanco, age 20, from Utica, N.Y, Officers located two metal pieces concealed inside a container that appeared to have, “sharpened edges”. Following the initial Investigation, the case was turned over to the Criminal Investigation Unit for review. After a review by the Criminal Investigation Unit, charges were filed against Blanco and an arrest warrant was requested through the Town of Whitestown Court. Following the issuance of the arrest warrant, Investigators from the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Unit subsequently executed the arrest warrant subsequently charging Blanco with:
(1) Count of Promoting Prison Contraband in the First Degree a Class D Felony.
All three individuals are scheduled to appear in the Town of Whitestown Court at a later date for the purpose of arraignment.
