According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol, on December 4th, 2024, at about 12:13 PM, Deputies responded to the area of Augusta Solsville Road in the Town of Augusta for a reported one car personal injury motor vehicle accident.

Upon arrival, Deputies determined that Paul Morgan, 67, of Oriskany Falls NY, was operating a silver 2012 Chevy Malibu southbound on Augusta Solsville Road in the Town of Augusta. Morgan failed to maintain his lane due to unsafe speed and slippery road conditions, causing him to lose control of his vehicle, entering a ditch on the western shoulder, where he then struck a culvert, ultimately causing the vehicle to come to rest shortly after.

Morgan was transported to Wynn Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by Oriskany Falls Fire Department, Central Oneida County Volunteer Ambulance Corps, and Merrill's Towing.
