Today Sergeant Avard and Investigator Constantine were at the Warren County Sheriff's Office to attend the First Responder Veteran's Suicide Prevention training being held there and hosted by the U.S. Department of Veteran's Affairs. The day-long course was offered to all first responders and aimed to improve their awareness of services provided by the Department of Veteran's Affairs as well as to provide effective strategies to officers when they are engaging veterans who may be in crisis.
