According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert M. Maciol, on February 28th, 2025 at approximately 0628 hours Patrol Deputies were dispatched to the area of State Route 46 and Glur Road, in the Town of Verona for a report of a vehicle roll-over personal injury motor vehicle accident.

At the completion of the Patrol Deputies investigation, it was determined that the operator, Patricia Hansen (44 YOA) of Camden New York, was operating a red, 2017 Chevrolet four-door sedan, traveling in a Northerly direction on State Route 46 in the Town of Verona, when she lost control of her vehicle due to imprudent speed for the icy road conditions. As control of the vehicle was lost, Patricia's vehicle exited the roadway to the Eastern shoulder where her vehicle struck a snow embankment, and continued into a drainage culvert in an Easterly direction. Once inside the culvert, her vehicle then struck a head wall causing the vehicle to become airborne, and ultimately over-turn onto its passenger side and on to the vehicles roof. Once the vehicle was on its roof over-turned the vehicle spun one-hundred and eighty degrees and came to rest on the Northern shoulder of Glur Road. Patricia was able to self-extricate herself from the vehicle.

Patricia was evaluated on scene for a laceration to her arm and complaint of pain to her neck, she was ultimately transported via AMCare Ambulance to Rome Hospital for further treatment for minor injuries not considered life threatening.

Patricia was issued a traffic summons returnable to Verona Town Court at a later date.

Patrol Deputies were assisted on scene by AMCare Ambulance, and the New London Fire Department.
