Last evening, Sheriff Maciol joined with the members of the Deerfield Fire Department, the Deerfield Town Supervisor, and NYS Assemblywoman Maryann Buttenschon as town resident Scott Gorgas was acknowledged for his valorous actions taken in a situation involving an individual who was in distress. On February 25th, Scott exited his vehicle and took control of the situation until first responders arrived on the scene.
