According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, at about 1:27 P.M. on March 23, 2025, a Deputy assigned to the Oneida County Stop DWI Patrol conducted a traffic stop at the Cliff's Gas Station in the Village of Clinton, which led to the arrest of Oriskany Falls resident, Tara L. Gaudin (43), for Driving While Ability Impaired (DWAI) drugs (Misdemeanor).

Tara was then found to be in possession of two bags that contained Heroin, and was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled substance 7th (class A Misdemeanor). Tara was also issued tickets for several other violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law, in regard to her vehicle operation that led to the original traffic stop.

Tara was arraigned on her charges and her license was suspended, due to refusing to provide a chemical test to determine the drug content of her blood. Tara was released on her own recognizance, and is due back in Court at a later date.
