According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert M.

According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert M. Maciol, a Utica man was arrested on April 22nd, 2025, following a sexual assault investigation.

On April 12th, 2025 at approximately 3:04pm, Oneida County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the Wynn Hospital in Utica NY, regarding a sexual assault that occurred in the Village of New York Mills. Deputies were advised that a male had engaged in vaginal contact with another person, without their consent.

The case was turned over to members of the Criminal Investigations Unit and Forensic Identification Unit. As a result, Feroz C. Khan (40), was arrested and charged with Rape in the third degree, a class E felony. Khan was processed at the Kurt B. Wynman Law Enforcement Building and is currently being held at the Oneida County Correctional Facility, awaiting Centralized Arraignment.

The victim in this case is an adult and the victims name will not be shared with the public at this time. The victim was assisted by the YWCA throughout this investigation and is currently being provided resources.
