According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a Kirkland man was arrested following an investigation into a domestic incident.

On May 13th, 2025, the Oneida County Sheriff's Office Road Patrol Division responded to an address in the Town of Westmoreland for a complaint involving a previous domestic incident.

Upon the deputies arrival, they learned that Jason J. Eaton, 48, of Kirkland, had violated a current Order of Protection that was in place protecting the reporting party. Subsequent to an investigation, Eaton was arrested and charged with (1) count of Criminal Contempt in the 2nd Degree, a class (A) Misdemeanor. Eaton was transported to the Kurt Wyman Law Enforcment building, where he was booked and processed. Eaton remains in the Oneida County Correctional Facility, awaiting Centralized Arraignment.
