According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a Morrisville man has been charged stemming from an illegal dumping complaint.

On 5/2/25, Patrol Deputies assigned to the Waterville Field Office responded to the Schoolhouse Apartments in the Village of Waterville for an illegal dumping complaint. Subsequent to an investigation it was determined that Joshua A.S. Smith (34) of Morrisville, had dumped solid waste in the apartment complex dumpsters, having no residency or permission to do so at said location.

On 5/21/25 Smith was charged with:

(1) count of Trespass under NYS Penal Law, a violation

(1) ‎count of Illegal Dumping under Local Ordinances, a violation.

Smith was issued an appearance ticket for said charges and is scheduled to appear at Waterville Village Court at a later date.
