Last week, Investigator Chrysler, Investigator Marcano, Deputy Aldoori, and Deputy McDaniels attended the New York Association of Hostage Negotiators (NYAHN) conference held in Rochester. The NYAHN, in cooperation with the New York State Police, the Rochester Police Department, and the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, hosted the 18th Annual Hostage Negotiation Training Conference. This event provided negotiators with real-world case studies from across the United States and abroad. The three day training focused on techniques that are crucial for resolving conflicts and restoring peace during volatile situations.

The motto New York Association of Hostage Negotiators (NYAHN) is “Talk To Me” emphasizing the importance of active listening and communication in resolving crisis situations.
