According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert M. Maciol, a Sauquoit man and three juveniles were charged as a result of a burglary investigation from May. On May 1, 2025 at about 7:30 PM, Oneida County Sheriff's Office Patrol units were dispatched to an address on Mohawk Street in the Town of Paris for a burglary in-progress. Responding units discovered three juveniles and Joshua Mullen, 19, of Paris to be running from the building as they arrived and also located proceeds from the burglary near the scene. The investigation was turned over to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office Juvenile Aid Unit. Mullen and the three juveniles were each charged with one count of Burglary in the third degree, a class D Felony. Mullen was later located and arraigned in Oneida County CAP Court where he was released on his own recognizance to return to Paris Town Court on an upcoming date. Two of the juveniles were arraigned in Oneida County Court Youth Part where they were referred to Oneida County Probation and released to a parent. The third juvenile was referred to Oneida County Probation and released to a parent due to age. Members of the New York State Police also responded and assisted at the scene.
