According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert M. Maciol, a Yorkville man was arrested following an arson investigation in the Town of Vienna.On June 30th, 2025, Deputies assigned to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol Division responded to an assist call at the Ta-Ga-Soke Campground, lot 132, located at 7820 Higginsville Road in the Town of Vienna regarding a camper on fire. Upon their arrival and subsequent to an investigation, it was determined that Robert Bartle (28) of Yorkville had set fire to his grandparent’s camper, damaging the camper and two others; a camper located on lot 131 and a camper located on lot 133.Due to the nature of the incident members of the Oneida County Criminal Investigative Unit (CIU) had been assigned to this investigation. Bartle had been transported to the Oneida County Kurt B. Wyman Law Enforcement Building where he was booked and processed for one count of Arson in the Third Degree, a Class C Felony, and one count of Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree, a Class D Felony.Bartle was transported to Oneida County CAP court where he was released on his own recognizance, and he is due back in the Town of Vienna Court at a later date and time.
