According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol, on August 13th, 2025 at around 6:50am, Deputies responded to a personal injury motor vehicle accident at the intersection of State Route 12 and Fountain Street located in the Town of Paris.

Upon investigation, it was determined that 18 year old Mustapha Musa of Utica, was operating a 2013 Nissan Rogue in an northerly direction on State Route 12. Musa failed to maintain his lane and exited the roadway on the eastern shoulder of the roadway resulting in his vehicle going into a ditch. Musa was transported by Edwards Ambulance to Wynn Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Musa was issued citations returnable to Paris Town Court on a later date.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by Edwards Ambulance, Paris Hill Fire Department, and Kirkland Police Department.
