According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert M.
According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert M. Maciol, two Rome women were arrested on September 3rd, 2025, following a larceny investigation. On July 2nd, 2025, at approximately 8:05pm, the Road Patrol Division responded to Walmart, located in the City of Rome for a reported larceny complaint. Deputies were advised that an employee was caught under scanning multiple items on multiple dates for the same customer. The total value of the stolen items exceeded one thousand dollars.
The case was turned over to members of the Criminal Investigation Unit and as a result, Gina A. Lavine(33) and Susan M. Pratt(49) were arrested and both charged with Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, a Class E Felony. Both women were transported to the Kurt B. Wyman Law Enforcement Building for processing. Lavine and Pratt were issued Appearance Tickets, released, and are to appear in Rome City Court at a later date.
