The Oneida County Sheriff's Office is looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as Correction Officers. No experience is required, and we provide excellent, paid training!

What you'll do:

Enforce rules and regulations to ensure the safety and security of the facility.

Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed reports.

Escort, and monitor movement within facility.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Must be at least 18 years old.

Possess a valid New York State driver's license.

Must be a resident of Oneida, Herkimer, Lewis, Madison, Oswego, or Otsego County for at least one month prior to appointment.

Benefits:

Competitive starting salary of $48,113, increasing to $53,458 after training or six months of employment.

Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance.

New York State Retirement System enrollment.
