According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert M.
According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert M. Maciol, Patrol Deputies were dispatched to a domestic incident on Pinecrest Drive in the City of Rome just after 6:00 PM on Thursday September 25, 2025.
A 16 year old male juvenile, whose name will not be released due to age, first threatened a household member with a broken pipe and then threw a rock and struck them on the head despite an Order of Protection in effect. The victim claimed to be uninjured.
The juvenile was arrested and brought to the Kurt B. Wyman Law Enforcement Building where the Juvenile Aid Unit assisted. The juvenile was charged with Criminal Contempt in the first degree, a class E Felony, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the fourth degree, a class A Misdemeanor, Menacing in the second degree, a class A Misdemeanor and Attempted Assault in the third degree, a class B Misdemeanor.
The juvenile was processed and issued appearance tickets directing him to appear in Oneida County Court Youth Part and was released to a parent.
