Oneida County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Derrick O'Meara, Director of the Oneida Child Advocacy Center, announces the arrest of Gordon Day, age 59, of the Town of Paris(Oneida County).

In September of 2025, the Child Advocacy Center received information that Day, a Level 2 New York State Registered Sex Offender, was residing at an address in the Town of Paris, which he was reported to not have registered with the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services(DCJS). Day was charged with one count of Failure to Report Change of Address, First Offense, a Class E Felony under the NYS Corrections Law. Day was processed at the Kurt B. Wyman Law Enforcement Building and then released on an appearance ticket, made returnable to Whitestown Court at a later date.
