*UPDATE*

On November 23rd, 2025, Shauna Broadbent, age 34, from Holland Patent, was arrested by a member of the STOP DWI Unit.

Shauna was charged with:

-(1) ‎Count Aggravated DWI, 1192(2aa), a unclassified Misdemeanor.-(1) ‎Count ‎Driving while intoxicated, 1192(3), a unclassified Misdemeanor.-(1) ‎Count Driving while Ability Impaired by the combination of Drugs and Alcohol, 1192(4a) a unclassified Misdemeanor.-(1) Count ‎Driving while intoxicated, 1192(2); per se, a unclassified Misdemeanor.-Othe VTL traffic violations

All of which stemmed from a personal injury motor vehicle accident that occurred on September 14th, 2025. Broadbent was issued appearance tickets for the above charges which are all returnable to Floyd Town Court at a later date.

With the Holiday Season approaching, The Sheriff's Office reminds motorists to drink responsibly, plan ahead, and call for a ride.

According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol, on September 14th, 2025, at approximately 8:55 P.M. Deputies responded to a two car personal injury motor vehicle accident that occurred on New Floyd Rd, in the Town of Floyd. Deputies determined that Shauna Broadbent, age 34, from Holland Patent, was traveling north on Koenig Rd in a 2020 Chevrolet Traverse when she collided with a 2019 Toyota Tacoma, traveling west on New Floyd Rd, driven by William Spinelli, age 29, of Syracuse. Floyd Fire Department and AmCare Ambulance responded to the scene and Broadbent was transported to the WYNN Hospital for her injuries. Spinelli was evaluated by EMS on scene. None of the injuries appeared life threatening. Deputies determined that Broadbent was at fault for the accident and that she failed to stop for the stop sign located at the intersection of Koenig Rd and New Floyd Rd.
