According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert M. Maciol, on November 24th, 2025, a Bouckville man was arrested regarding a grand larceny investigation.
On September 9th, 2025, a Road Patrol Deputy was dispatched to the Town of Marshall for a grand larceny complaint. Through the Deputies investigation, they learned the victim had paid a contractor $4,000.00 to purchase items that were to be used to complete work on her residence; however, the contractor never completed the work.Due to the nature of the incident, the investigation was turned over to members of the Oneida County Criminal Investigations Unit (CIU). Investigators learned that the contractor, 49-year-old Scott Maury, had cashed the $4,000.00 check the day it had been issued; however, the money was not used to purchase items to complete the work on the victim’s residence.
Maury was subsequently charged with one count of Grand Larceny in the 3rd, a Class D Felony, pursuant to section 155.35(1) of the New York State Penal Law. Maury was then escorted to the Oneida County Correctional Facility to await CAP Court. Following Maury’s arraignment he was released on his own recognizance.
